I merged my passion of therapy with my passion for running to create Beyond the Couch. This style of therapy infuses run/walk activity outside while engaging in therapy. The combination of nature, activity, and therapy creates the ideal environment for inner work to take place. Run/walk therapy can be done in individual or group sessions.
Beyond the Couch is an innovative take on traditional therapy. Instead of the therapeutic session taking place in an office setting, the therapist and client engage in therapy outdoors during the client’s choice of running or walking a nature trail. Beyond the Couch sessions engage the client’s senses while using mindfulness techniques throughout the talk therapy session.
