I am a military brat who was born in Pennsylvania but raised in Texas. Growing up, I loved to read and write and had dreams of being a lawyer. Ha! However, as I grew up and headed off to college my love for the human mind coupled with my empathetic spirit led me to the road of counseling. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Baylor University and my Masters of Counseling degree from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. I am fully licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas and have been in private practice for two years.
My dream is to crush the stigma of therapy in my community. After dealing with my own bouts of anxiety, it led me to be especially passionate about women of color who struggle with the societal expectations of being “strong and independent” and “black girl magic”, while silently struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and fear.
